You are the Buddha!

(now realise now) It’s true, you are the Buddha! I’m not talking about the historical figure of Buddha, but what it means in your mind (and I don’t mean fat, bald and happy).

For me ‘Buddha’ means someone who is truly enlightened, wise, completely calm, in touch and ‘One with the One’.

But you could replace the word ‘Buddha’ for some other name or idea that you hold to be the highest in human development and personal evolution (i’m sure Buddha wouldn’t mind).

You might want to try ‘You are the Messiah!’, or ‘You are the embodiment of Love’ or Peace, God, the Divine or Peanut Butter, whatever works for you.

The point is; whatever it is you think of as a future dream, must be realised to some extent now. Whatever and whoever it is you want to become you must first discover within yourself, now.

Your true nature is probably more incredible than you can ever imagine, and that’s probably what you are scared of.

As Rabbi Nachman (You are Rabbi Nachman!) said

‘Man is afraid of things that cannot harm him, and he knows it, and he craves things that cannot help him, and he knows it, but in truth the one thing man is afraid of is within himself, and the one thing he craves is within himself.’
