Deepak Chopra is coming to Manchester UK!

I’ve got it on good authority that Deepak Chopra is coming to talk to Manchester at the Bridgewater Hall sometime in September.

If you want any more info you’re gonna have to call me.

Peace & Blessings

Firstly, this is not a review as I’m not really qualified to do so!!! Ok, on with the comment! I have never read, listened to, or watched anything by Deepak Chopra. However, Having got there early with my girlfriend who really likes Deepak’s work, I found myself in the front row on the centre seat at the Bridgewater Hall on saturday 26th Sept 09, to listen to a very interesting lecture. The first part of the lecture was (to my knowledge) a fairly scientifically sound lecture with lots of reference to String Theory. I found that part of the lecture very interesting. The second part of the lecture was not as interesting to me as there seemed to be more reference to theological topics, but still managed to hold my interest until the end.

There was a great comedy moment when track 3 of a pre-prepared CD seemed to misbehave. To which Deepak claimed the universe was conspiring against him (laughter from audience).

Still, I did actually enjoy it. Deepak also stuck around to sign lots of books at half time and at the end.

My lasting memory of the night was Deepak making a reference to Einstein who once said that God didn’t play dice(that there is order to the Universe). Deepak believes God does play dice, but doesn’t show where he throws them.

Anyway, if you’d like to comment on my post, please do, but be gentle with me!
