That’s right, the Urban Guru has a cure, a quick fix, a remedy and concoction for the common cold, and it wont cost you a penny, maybe just a little time and a tinny little bit of focused concentration and a teaspoon of ‘what if?’
OK, so I didn’t discover this myself, I’ve ‘learnt’ it from another ‘urban guru’ – the lovely Louise Hay.
However, what I did do was take her ideas seriously and put them into practice, and it works, it really works! She suggests that you sit and concentrate on one or two ideas for about 20 mins:
For a Cold repeat and focus on: “I allow my mind to relax and be at peace. Clarity and harmony are within me and around me. All is well.†For a Sore Throat: “I release all restriction and I am free to be me.â€
For a Headache: “I love and approve of myself. I see myself and what I do with eyes of love. I am safe.â€
But the real trick is to make sure you sit quietly for at least 20 mins thinking any one of these affirmations BEFORE you get the full blown symptoms.
That means you’ve got to listen to your body, be sensitive to it’s needs and at the smallest sign of an impending cold – STOP and remind yourself how fantastic you are and that you and the world are wonderful.
